Well, what a way to start the holidays off for all of us Michigan fans...
1. Five different Buckeyes suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season and they include Terrelle Pryor, Boom Herron, Posey, and starting left tackle Mike Adams.
The icing on the cake will be if all of these guys decide to jump ship (with the exception of Adams who will not be eligible since he is only a sophomore) and leave Coach Tressell reeling heading into 2011.
2. Michigan received a commitment last night from Matt Goudis, a kicker from California. Goudis is a kicker from California and who should immediately upgrade the position upon his arrival on campus.
3. Despite constant speculation about his job security, Rich Rodriguez and his staff continue to hit the recruiting trail hard and have pulled in three different commits (2 on defense and Goudis) in the last two weeks.
4. Finally, and most importantly, the Wolverines are once again playing on New Years Day and we can all hopefully enjoy a Michigan win that could be the springboard that this young team needs heading into a pivotal 2011 no matter who the coach is.
Regular analysis will resume in the next week including Mississippi State previews. Following the bowl game January and February will be spent following the basketball team through Big Ten play while reviewing the 2010 season and looking at the 2011 Recruiting class.
